If you're a foodie like me, you've probably heard of Food Network's Guy Fieri. He's the face of several shows such as Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Guy's Grocery Games. He's also the owner of several restaurants around the United States and several have opened up recently in my home state of Tennessee. Y'all know I HAD to check out Downtown Flavortown (https://downtownflavortown.com/) when I was in Pigeon Forge, TN! To say the food is phenomenal would be an understatement. The music, atmosphere, staff, and food were top notch or as Guy would say, "this is money!"
This restaurant is family friendly with an arcade full of games, a bowling alley, a car from his tv show, a gift shop, and more! The photo ops are endless. I had done some research online and saw that lots of people recommended the "Trash Can Nachos." They come out in a metal can and the staff shakes the food out onto your plate (see what I'm talking about in a video I've shared to my social media pages). It consists of beans, pulled pork, melted cheddar, brown sugar BBQ sauce and lots of toppings to choose from that are all piled high on a bed of tortilla chips. Everyone at the table sampled some and said it was definitely a favorite. My parents joined me and order pulled pork sandwiches and Cajun chicken alfredo, which they both loved. I finished my meal off with an outstanding Campfire Smores Freak Shake that was topped with the best smores EVER and an edible chocolate straw. Head to Downtown Flavortown on your next trip to the Smokies, you will not be disappointed.
